middle east meeda total ga oka idea kavalante manchi book okati undi. "Great War for Civilization" by Robert Fisk. He may be little bit biased (against joker pair Bush and Blair) but it is a very good book. I am half way through, it's very big approx. 1300 pages of small print. It's a sad story and britain/US screwed the people for centuries there. |

jerusalem was the key issue during the partition of palestine in 1948..
isreal wanted jerusalem to be a part of their country while the arab world wanted that the state of isreal should not be formed ...on the other hand UN wanted jrusalem to be an independent city//country given its diversity
once jerusalem came into isreal's hands it had to support the arab population.. |

In his book Six Days veteran BBC journalist Jeremy Bowen claims that on 4 June, 1967 the Israeli ship Miryam left Felixstowe with cases of machine guns, 105 mm tank shells, and armored vehicles in "the latest of many consignments of arms that had been sent secretly to Israel from British and American reserves since the crisis started" and that "Israeli transport planes had been running a 'shuttle service' in and out of RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire".
