With the advent of internet the whole glamour of movie releases seems to be lost every single person that I know wants to read the critics review before going to a movie, but how far are they true? What is the agenda? What do they want to convey? My recent experience was with YAMADONGA.
My main interest in the movie was in the fact that Jr. NTR would endure so much of physical pain (HIS NEW AVATAR) just to act in a movie, to me that show’s the man’s commitment to success. So being a true cyber citizen I went to read the critic’s review, what surprised me was the fact that the movie was given a 3/5 rating and then the critic seem to praise every aspect of the movie so this amplified my interest even further so with the whole confusion brewing in my mind I went to watch the movie, my opinion It was worth every dollar.
True this movie’s story line has been adopted from movies like Mayabazar and other old movies but that is where the similarities end, for Rajamouli and his team has done a great job in putting together a wholesome entertainer.
Inevitable lapses in plausibility and an inflated three-hour, five-minute running time aside, Yamadonga is a slick and efficient piece of action entertainment, fast moving with energetic dialogues and nice visuals.
The cinematography by Senthil Kumar deserves a special mention as he did a great job with the lights and camera; the design of the sets is a treat to the eyes the brilliance of yamalokam couldn't have been done better and is absolute. The graphics and the portrayal of NTR with Jr NTR has also been done well with a great deal of attention to detail.
Helping that is the casting of Mohan Babu as yama and his sparring with Jr NTR (Raja) is excellent, Ali as koya bomma and Brahmanandam as chitragupta did amazingly well in keeping the audience laughing.
So finally for me the movie is a must go and I still don’t understand as to why the movie was given a 3/5 rating when it deserved so much better, I guess I should ask the critics the definition of a 5/5 movie as Mohan Babu asks the definition of the legend in the recent Telugu industry function. All in all the movie is a excellent piece of work and the note worthy part is the attention given to detail which is pretty rare in movies targeted for the masses.
Now as any Andhrite would I wanted to share my opinion with others so I called up my friends in the bay area and surprisingly they shared my opinion, every one of them had the same thing to say the movie compares to Hollywood movies in all aspects. My fellow movie viewers in Jersey were surprised that the movie was directed so well and in total contradiction to the review’s posted online and another interesting piece of statistic is the fact that in spite of the release date being a weekday people thronged the theaters with New Jersey topping at 600 tickets sold, Virginia sold 300 tickets and San Jose sold out so I guess this should serve as a warning to popular telugu movie review website to stop giving out reviews with personal agendas and try to be neutral and appreciate good movies.

Cinema lo golettadaaniki chala scenes unnay, but basic gaa nenu NJ vaadini avatam and ippatidaaka anni movies NJ lo chudatam tho, ikkada mana gang antha network leka vere silent going friend tho ochhi peddayana kanapaddappudu matram ika aaga leka arichesaa!! But movie lo yentha ledanna every 10 to 15 min golette excitement undindi!!
SPITFIRE sodarudi abhimanam lo naaku chatak untademo anipinchindi ninna theatre lo aayana excitement talchukunte!! Hatsoff to his sinciere fanism!!

Sorry Venu I didn't see your post before.
I just came form the show. Show didn't start at 8:00 . It started around 8:35 to 8:45.
Show was Simply Superb. I expected Second half will be slow , because of reading these dam reviews (so called reviewers)
Second half is excellent. Basically Director is building love and relation ship between Hero and Heroine.
I don't want to reveal more points about second half.
I liked it so much.
So may reviewers mentioned that so many shots were lifted from DVSK, Mayabazar. So what?? Did common cine goer enjoyed the movie or not?? That's important than any reviewers review.
If you go to movie. I am sure, " I am DAM sure " you will enjoy this Movie.
