# Both the films are multi-starrers.
While Shankardada Zindabad's cast boasts of names like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Srikanth, Raviteja, Allu Arjun, Raja, Karishma Kotak, Sada and Yana Gupta, Yamadonga has an ensemble cast of NTR, Mohanbabu, Mamta Mohandas, Priyamani, Kushboo, Rambha, Preeti Jhangiani, Navneet Kaur and Veda Sastry.
# Item numbers.
The hot and sultry siren Yana Gupta will be seen in an item number (Aakalesthe) in SDZ. Rambha (Naachore) does the 'item' act in Yamadonga. There's another item number (Young Yama) in YD where NTR will be shaking his leg with Preeti Jhangiani, Navneet Kaur and Veda Sastry.
# Debutantes.
Malayalam heroine Mamta Mohandas will finally make her acting debut in Telugu with Yamadonga, while model Karishma Kotak will make her debut in SDZ opposite Chiranjeevi.
# Mamta Mohandas as singer.
Mamta Mohandas has sung a song each in the two films - Aakalesthe (SDZ) and Olammi Tikkareginda (Yamadonga).
# Actors as singers.
NTRWhile NTR lent his voice (alongside Mamta Mohandas) for the first time in Yamadonga for the song Olammi Tikkareginda, Chiranjeevi and Srikanth lend their voices to the song Jagadeka Veeruniki.
# Third time together.
Devisri Prasad is working for the third time with Chiranjeevi (Andarivadu, Shankardada MBBS and now Shankardada Zindabad). Same with the combo of MM Keeravani and NTR. Before Yamadonga, they worked together in Student No. 1 and Simhadri.
# Both are big-budgeted films.
Gemini Film Circuit bought the remake rights of the Bollywood hit Lage Raho Munnabhai, the original version of SDZ, for a whopping price. For Yamadonga, art director Anand Sai erected a grand 'yamalokam' set. The budget of both the films is BIG, taking the remuneration of the actors and technicians involved (Chiranjeevi, NTR, Mohanbabu, Rajamouli, Prabhudeva, MM Keeravani and Devisri Prasad) into account.
Shankarada Zindabad will make a worldwide release on July 27, while Yamadonga is slated for a August 9 release. |
