Ledu mamalu he has 2 years left in his contract.
If it is an expiring contract then lakers won't worry this much now.Any team will take him atleast during the season.
Now no one will touch him

if they can get magloire and p.j.brown for butler and expiring contracts that will be an amazing deal. magloire is still young and is a very good center. mihm will be solid as a backup. pj is a nice veteran player and he can be backed up by the rookie PF they are gonna (hopefully) select at 10. they can get a decent point gaurd with the mid level exception. they will be set to make some noise in the west. brian grant's contract expires at the end of next season... expiring contract, however worse it might be, is valuable.

there is also talk that lakers are trying to move up in the draft and get the blazers' 3rd pick to select gerald green. i dont know why they wld do that. they are well set at the 2 and 3 positions. so i dont know why they wld need another wingman.

Buzz maama looks like they are trying to get PJBrown and Maglore for Butler and some expiring contracts.

Looks like Phil is trying to improve the roster right away.
If Maglore and Brown can stay healthy this will be a good move by Lakers.

They should include Grant in this trade.

ya they need a good power forward so that odom can move to his natural small forward position. butler would back up kobe and odom off the bench i guess. brian grant wld be decent as a backup PF. in point gaurd position they need a good shooter. i think they will use the midlevel exception to get earl watson. new pg, kobe, odom, new PF, mihm will be starting five. vlade, butler, grant, luke walton, sasha wld be backups.

I don't think this trade will happen, why they will take George and Medvadiko for Bender and 17th pick.
It is true George and Medvadiko are expiring contracts. still i don't think pacers will do this.

If this trade happens Lakers will have 10th and 17th picks and they can get a good PG and PF.

I think they would be fine at center with Vlade and Chris Mihm.

sean may will be a power forward mama in the league. there are no good centers in this draft. this draft is good for point gaurds (at least 5 good ones) and power forwards (frye, vasquez, digou, taft, may)...

thats an interesting rumor... bender is a very good player but he's never healthy.. this is more about the 17th pick maybe. this draft is deep, they cna get a good power forward at 10 and get a decent point gaurd at 17. if bender stays healthy he can play the 3 and the 4. he is a 7 footer. but this looks like a steal for the lakers. why would pacers do this? maybe bender is really hurt and they lost hope.

The Pacers Jonathan Bender is indeed on his way to Los Angeles along with the 17th pick in the draft. In return, the Lakers will send Devean George, Slava Medvedenko and a second-round pick. Expect the deal within a day or two of draft day, although it may not be triggered until June 28.

Cinejeevi maama that was Malone's mistake. that's why he didn't talk about it in the media aftwerwards.

Somehow lakers should add one big man to that roster and kobe will show what he is.

Shaq always has some injuries and other barking in media he won't get another ring.

Next year they cann't come to east finals if Cleveland lands some good free agents and if Indian plays well.

agreed that shaq is great player. but he cant do any wonders without a good and cluctch shooting guard either kobe or wade which has been proved this season.

one funny news heading after phil joined lakers was

LAKERS GET RE-PHIL

mamas he was hurt during the playoffs... lekapothe at least 20 and 10 aade vaadu and they wld have won easily against the pistons.. he can be dominant but not THE MOST dominant in the league.. i think thats duncan now and amare/lebron/wade in the future. but the fact is shaq is slowing down. so 3 yrs 100 million AFTER NEXT season (this next season he gets his 30 anyway) is a joke.

If he agrees for 15-20million then he earn less than Kobe which his ego won't agree.

So Miami is screwed for next 3-4 years.

Buzz maama he was dominent and now he is not dominant.

If u see that Game 6 of East finals when Wade doesn't play u will see the difference.

He is old diesel now in 2-3 years his contract will be like current Brian Grant's contract.

3 years 60 million contract Jerry Buss would have given him happily.

He wants 3 years 100million.

there is no way he will settle for something around 15-20 million. He has an ego that is a big as he is and he always wanted to be the highest paid one.

mamas maree shaq ni ala thiduthunnaru enti... true if the heat gives him that 100 mn extension they will be doomed... but u guys are talking about midlevel exception which is not at all fair... he is still good for the regular max money (14-15 mil per year). he averaged 20 and 10 this year and how many players in the nba did that? KG, Duncan and Shaq. he is still a very dominant player but NOT THE MOST dominant that he was. even KG (from 30 to 20) took a pay cut to get better players around him. If shaq says he will be happy with 20 mil per year the heat will pay that happy ga. If not, he will have to opt out of his contract this year OR become a free agent at the end of next year. either way other teams can not pay him more than 15 mil per year accdg to current rules. so i think he will ask for 3 yr 100 million but will settle for 3 yr 60 mil. thats still more than what other teams can offer him.

asalu adike option undi. If he wants he can play this upcoming year for the shaq on his current contract which expires at the end of next season. If not he has the option of voiding the final year of his contract and get a brand new one. That's what he wants to do now.

Otherwise lakers would have dumped Brian Grant last year.

They have to eat his contract which is not so easy.

Yeah Shaq has popularity in media but the way he is talking, he is loosing that.

I am 100% sure he will booed next time he plays in LALA land.

Dumb ass he says Phil should have accepted sac job instead of lakers, so he thinks Bibby and Peja are better compared to Kobe.

Also i am sure there will be media war b/w him and Phil pretty soon.

Kobe is doing a good thing by staying away from media.

Shaq is talking and loosing fans.

Kobe should win and regain fans next season.

When ESPN asked Shaq when Phil is the best coach why didn't he bring him to Miami, shaq says that is not his job and then he says he might have talked to Maloof brothers and got him 12million instead of 10million.

He requested Maloof brothers and Cuban but none accepted his contract. Lakers didn't get any offer other than this junk Miami offer for that big diesel.

That shows his market value in NBA and his play this season shows how many more rings he can get.

Buzz maama i don't think they will trade Butler unless they can get a real good PG or PF like Boozer.

That Brian Grant's contract is the killer for lakers.

I don't think he will fit in triangle offense don't know what they will do with him.

Vlade can no longer play, they shouldn't pick his option.

They should try fro Chandler.

mamas did u read this article about vlade and phil...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?column ist=stein_marc&id=2085398

vlade will be back if he's healthy. atkins is a good shooter but he is a huge liability on defense. he can be used as a backup point gaurd but not as a starter. mitch kupchak was saying that they might ask butler/walton to move into a gaurd position and see how it works out. i think butler will be traded. if vlade is healthy and can give them 20 minutes a game then vlade and mihm combination at center shld be good enough. good enough in the sense.. to make the playoffs and be competetive.
i saw shaq's interview... even though i like shaq he is trying to act too smart... all year he has been taking shots at kobe, lakers, buss and kupchak. and none of the four guys made any comments back. they took the high road. i hope shaq does the same. the media always is on shaq's side coz he is more approachable and fun guy.. but the blame for breaking up the dynasty is not all kobe.. shaq has to take some too.

the comments that shaq made on ESPN last night made me very mad. When asked if he and kobe would ever sit down and talk about everything that happened, he have his trademark dumbass look and said i don't know who that is. By the way shaq: that nameless guy was as much a reason as you are for you to win those three rings. U might have your hate for one another but don't think your saint in this whole mess. You are the chubby overweight asshole who waited until training camp to get operated on. I would love to see kobe win many more rings while the overweight diesel remains without another ring.

Buzz maama that is true.Ninnati finals game kanna anni sports channels lo ee news ee main attraction.

If Phil needs just a shooter then Atkins would be sufficient.
But don't know where they can get a good center from.
May be they have to live with Vlade for this year.

phil's triangle offense doesnt rely much on the point gaurd. it needs the point gaurd to be a good shooter that's all. he said that the offense wld be similar to the bulls offense he had with michael and pippen. odom will be the primary ball handler (like pippen) and kobe will be the wing player (like you-know-who)... the need a big man to get the rebounds. i think they will do some trades to get some depth and possibly a second-tier point gaurd... they can get a good power forward at the 10th pick.
they also contacted pippen to join as an assitant coach (and mentor for odom)... pippen and phil share the same agent.. i think thats a done deal.
either way they r not going to compete for a championship anytime soon.. but they will make the playoffs. the best thing about this is the buzz is back to lakers. no other team wld dare to announce such a big thing on the nba finals day and actually not just get away with it but completely overshadow the finals game itself. love 'em or hate 'em.. u cant ignore them now :-)

Now Lakers just need an ok big man and good point gaurd. Last year they lost 19 of last 21 games still they missed playoffs with a very little margin.
Good days are ahead for lakers.

Ippudu Shaq emi commenting settado.

Nenu NBA lo only Phil ki matrame adatanu inka evariki adanu ani tega statements ichadu.

Finally everyone wants money.

Now Shaq might even comment Phil like he did for Kobe and Buss.

He already lost lakers fans support.
