incase u r creating a report from outside the VS.NET like using Crystal Reports. Then also same steps apply. Just create the crystal report using Crystal reports. Add that .rpt to ur project, create an instance to that and bind to ur crystalviewer control |

naaku thelisindhi chebutha.
1. drag a crystalreportviewer control from the tool box onto the form.
2. add a crystal report in ur solution expplorer window (right click on ur project -> add -> new item -> select crystalreport)
3. once u add crystalreport to ur project a wizard opens just follow the wizard it will ask u which type of report u wanna create, which database, what fields u wanna display, any filters like group by etc. Finish this wizard.
4. now u can just bind this crystalreport object to ur crystalreportviewer control, just like biding dataset to a datagrid.
Thats it once u run this u can see the report on ur browser.
This is what i know. If u r looking for some advanced report generation then iam helpless. |
