Ethics are the specific moral choices to be made by a person. It is more concerned with Right vs Wrong than Yes vs No.

Good concern Music fan.
But do the movie industry follow some ethics.
Why do they pay/demand exorbitant amounts for the actors, music directors, film directors etc.
Why the music companies shell out huge amounts to buy the rights?
Finally we, the consumer, has to pay for all this.
(It is like buying a Rs.1 worth coke for Rs.10)

Welcome to 21st Century. Ippudu Vacche 12X burners tho, DVD Ripping 5 minutes, Burning 5 minutes. Anthaa 10 minutes lo Ayipothundi, Not 1-2 days as you are saying.
Coming to the topic, I usually buy the DVDs if the movie is excellent and the DVD quality is good. I have a collection of around 30 original DVDs ( like okkadu, kushi, idiot etc ). If the movie or DVD quality is not that good, I rent it and burn it, if I have time and enthu. Nowadays the quality standards of telugu original DVDs is really improving. If I can get a new DVD movie for under $10, I don't mind buying it instead of copying.

I rent the DVDs and see. If a movies orginal comes then I prefer renting for a 1 or 2 dollars and see on big TV. Gudumba or Arjun laanti bommalu ippatlo orginal raavu kabatti dimpukotam OK. but vachina movies DVDs soosthaa.

comming to ethics, copy of scenes and lifting of tunes without paying royalty from other languages ethical ayyithe pirated movies soodatam kooda ethicalee.
Producer may say story writer did the mistake as he dont know of the orgins and in the same way who makes the camera prints are culprit not the people who watch it |

cam prints aapaDam stores cheti lo undi. In order to get an upper hand among themselves they resort to such stuff. mari atu paata classics leka itu kotta quality cineamlu raaka..bore dengite chese pani.
One thing which might help dvd sales is to put more quality content in dvd's like interviews with stars, making of movies, outtakes, deleted scenes. I for one would definately buy it.
Also the MAA can tie up with a store is all the major cities and sell music and movie media at reasonable prices.
Unless they come up with an aggressive proactive strategy to counter piracy nothing will happen. enta sepu idi tappu ila cheyyakodadu ante evaru vintaru...they should give us other options.

its simple economics mama. indian stores lo cd packet pyna 55rs ani untundi...dani pakkana store vadi label 6 dollars untundi. if that is ethical..this is also ethical. 100 % profit if ok but 1200% profit is a bit too much.

Now adays I am finding all movies available on internet. The day movie is released, I could download them from internet. Particularly Hindi and tamil. Vasool Raja was available within days of release. Dhoom was also the same.
I always used to buy DVD's. But what I finally found is that in whole neighborhood I was the only one who used to buy them. I used to spend lot of money per year to watch the movies. All my friends never used buy even a single movie but are ready to copy either from me or from others. That forced me think I was spending too much unnecessarily.
So now though I dont copy, atleast I stopped spending the money. I dont want to watch movies on those cheap CAM prints. I need a good audio and good clarity without which I dont like seeing movies...
To copy/download movies, I feel one small question How ethical is downloading songs/movies |
