I am not sure about Sumalatha, and even IMDB says that Urvashi was the heroine in the Joshi directed malayalam picture named "New Delhi". It says Urvashi is the heroine. (It is the immediate film after Rustum)
But the actual intent of this post is that the director of the Hindi version "New Delhi Times" is Ramesh Sharma of Moving Picture Company.
His wife Uma Gajapathi Raju of Kottayam(Kerala) ishe classmate of Rajiv Gandhi, ex-MP Viskhapatnam and former wife of Ananda Gajapathi Raju. (brother of Ashoka Gajapathi Raju and an ex-MP of Vizag himself).
Another intersting thing is that she did not change her name she is still Uma Gajapathi Raju even after maariage to Satish Sharma.
They together own a public limited company titled "Moving Picture Company" and produce news and informational programs.
It is intersting to note that Uma Gajapathi Raju herself is the newsreader and her "world news" are trasnmissted in British Airways and the Emirates also.

i vaguely remember reading somewhere that sumalata had the rare distinction of appearing in all versions of the movie antima tIrpu. i might be wrong about maLayALam.
did umAgajapati marry satish or ramesh? i remember that she married ramesh and migrated to the US. but in your post at one point you said she married ramesh and in another line you said she married satish. satish sharma (famous as captain satish sharma) was rajiv's senior during their stint with IA.

Anand Babu s/0 Nagesh acted in movies like Terror, Manchi Mithrulu (or something like that produced by same banner. Bhanuchander, Bhanupriya are the main hero, heroines)
are you sure about terror? as far as I remember only bhanuchander and arjun acted in that movie. chalapati rao got a full fledged villain's role for the first time in his life. bhanuchander's character is loosely based on late K.S. vyas.
the othe rmovie is not manci mitrulu, it is bhalE mitrulu.
he acted in a couple of movies produced by ushAkiraN movies (kAru diddina kApuram, pailApaccIs and mAmASrI i think).
