Brad mama, aa chiru cinema 'puli' anukunta. radha veeroin. I liked KB-2 too asalu Uma thurman opening monologue too much undi. also that paimei episode. best part is that he takes the ridiculous concepts of 70s movies and makes them so believable. how many times have we not seen such crap like 'five point heart implosion technique' or whatever. here, he uses that to kill the guy and it all seems so normal. neat director.
anyone has any idea what's QT's next movie ? I saw a trailor of Hero that he is presenting and some chinese guy directing. jet li is the hero. stunts looked awesome.

"People have seen what i can do with violence/action in first part, so I don't need to beet/re-prove my self..."
I think that explains it. From a directors view I think its okay. From a normal cinegoer view I wish we have seen more.

as saneman said in IBDB, the combined movie would like a two genre movie ala from dusk till dawn and full metal jacket.
I dont have problem with that, the only problem I had was with the excessive rambling the charatcers goes through in second part, it doesnt server any purpose except killing time.
QT is known to write humorous dialogues but here they are not humorous but are bland. take for example a scene where Bills brother is shown as leading a low life, but to establish that life we had to go through lot of rambling from his boss, the stripper, i lost my patience for that gibberish.
opening scene of the movie was too good, typical QT style, who could forget that mind blowing opening scene in Pulp Fiction.
there was no reason to split the movie, only reason is to cash us, so thumbs down for trying to cheat me.
i liked this quote,

If you remeber you said the same thing about Kill Bill VOl1, and now you di not like Vol2 either. But all the reviews say that the taking of both was different. One was fast and the other slow. One was all flash and the other substance.

The <b.second</b> is undoubtedly better than the first from the review. Unfortunately, I could noy see the movie on Frioday either..I am very upset. But I am planning to hit the movies as soon as they opmn om Saturday and will write my review by the end of the day.
The second movie is not as flashy as the first movie.
Amar, one thing is SURE. You need to be a QT fan to appreciate a QT movie. A trendsetter in the truest form.

my first post on killbill vol.2..
am feeling terribly unfortunate that i couldn't catch it on first day.. killbill vol.1 was the first and last english movie i watched on first day first show in U.S..
killbill Vol.2 has got some terrific reviews from critics..interestingly those who liked vol.1 didn't like vol.2 and those who didn't like vol.1 liked vol.2..on the whole vol.2 has got better rating..at the time of its release the ny times users(my standard criterion for a movie's rating along with imdb user rating)rated vol.1 3.x and vol.2 is now rated 4.4.
vol.1 was racy,energetic and full of action..
when Saneman said that vol.2 is slower and more dialogue oriented..i was extremely happy to hear that since i expected the same..
if vol.1 was like SHIVA..from the reviews i infer VOL.2 would be like IRUVAR..slower and dialogue oriented and powerful drama..
on the whole QT rocks..
I would be back with various reviews on kill bill.vol.2 |
