Glamour is the most important requirement in the film industry today especially as most films cash in on the beautiful heroines. If actors are not careful about keeping in shape, the career graph plummets with every additional kilo! That is what happened to Aarti Agarwal after her recent film “Nenunnanu” opposite Nagarjuna. The inches kept adding so much so that Nagarjuna teasingly gave her the nickname of Gas Cylinder!

The obesity made her look ghastly. She appeared in Prabhas-starrer “Adavi Ramudu” with all the extra weight (do not know how Prabhas carried her on his shoulders in a couple of scenes). She was in the US when the film was released. Sources say that she rushed there to enroll for a slimming programme but after that there has been no news of her. Perhaps she has sworn to remain in hiding until she manages a substantial weight loss!

Another girl who faced a bitter experience recently is Rakshita who was last seen in NTR Jr-starrer Andhrawala. She is also grossly overweight and rumours are that it is the reason for being replaced by Sadaa. Filmmakers who signed her expect ed her to shed some flab but since the actress had n't lost as much as an inch they opted for Sadaa instead. Rasi, another over weight heroine was thought fit only to be cast opposite ageing senior heroes. Producers claim that today's young heroes and big stars all want slim, svelte beauties for heroines. Rasi however has opted for matrimony and hence bid adieu to films! Kiron Rathore also is grossly overweight.

Although it is popularly believed that south Indians like their women buxom, it looks like tastes have changed here too over the years. Slim is in and there are no two ways about that!
