Gudumba Shankar Review: A poor show
Analysis:
After that disastrous ‘Jhonny’, one hoped this will be made carefully to rebuild the lost glory of Pawan Kalyan. But the film is another disappointment, if not worse than the earlier one. It appears Pawan Kalyan did the screen play. He made it more farcical than a serious love drama. The only novel element we find is in depiction of the villain Kumaraswamy (Asish Vidyarthi)as believer in astrology and superstitions. He blackmails Prasada Reddi, father of heroine Gowri. Brahmanandam and Sunil are of no use at all. Ali remains a side kick the hero Sankar (Pawan Kalyan). The structure is more humor oriented, but childish. The heroine is kept constantly on the defense right from her appearance on the screen. The screenplay is punctuated with rowdies and dancers, putting the hero in these two formula acts of fight and dance. You can guess every on coming scene.
A poor show.

today morning when i posted this message at 10.30
all the other threads both in ibdb and btdb says that its going to be a blockbuster and gave very good reviews, including anti pk fans. Nobody is able to believe that at that point of time as i was in minority. mine is the first negative review on GS.
BUT KNOW I'VE GOT MAJORITY AS EVERYBODY INCLUDING JEEVI IN IB HAS GIVEN THE SIMILAR REVIEW

just coming out of the theatre
Lets discuss each point:
story: no story at all. The little thats
there in the movie is already shown in
lot of movies before
screenplay: same old beaten path. no novelty
or any interseting episodes in screeplay
performance: pavan kalyan gives the same
old performance as usual. his mannerisams,
dialogue delivery everything is imitation of
his previous characters. his performance
gives us a dejavu feeling. meera jasmine looks
bulky and also she doesnt look beautiful.
her role is so so. all the commedians has
nothing much to do
comedy: though the makers feel its a comedy
it doesnt evoke any laughter. nothing much
comedy. to say in one word: ee cinemalo
comedy navvu theppinchatiniki badhulu navvula
palayyindhi
dialogues: ordinary
music: the only saving grace of the movie.
but the picturisation is not impressive |
