U are correct. Tagore cinema maaku 4 months tharuvaatha vacchindhi. Same with SD MBBS as initially Gemini aksed 2500 for SD MBBS. so 2500 ki theatre rent 500 for 2 shows add sesukunna 300 ravaali ante nearly 400 ravaali based on $8 ticket which was prevaqialing those days.

again if u see 9 shows ki 600 ante chala takkuva. same count is just scattered. where as if someone plays the movie for just 3/4 shows that count can be reached and could have fetched more revenue.

Some background information about the theatres that screen Desi movies in NC.
The theatres are out of business for screening English movies. Then the the owner got two proposals one for running as Dollar theatre and another from desi guy who wanted to run Asian movies.
So theatre vunna moolana vaadiki running ki movies kavaali. Monday and Tuesday shows waste kaavocchu kaani migathaavi OK.
Yaa more shows kabatti audience spread ayyeru
FYI, monna Hanuman ani cartoon pilm preega screen sesedu. Also summer lo Kids special ani weekdays seven kids movies ki pive dollars antu promotions isthaadu. Theatre vaadiki Popcorn, soda sales vuntayani sesthaadu anukuntaaa. |

Total shows screened - 9 shows

Per show ki theatre rent ani vundadhu. He takes some percentage of the collections. around 20-30%
EVaraina 3rd party vesukunte vallaki sirigi seta avvudhi. so recently US distribtutor is screening directly on revenue sharing model. To avoid risk he take percentage of the collection. So the US distributor also need not pay anymoney outright.
so overallagaa around 500-600 ante maa voorki chaala decent turnout |
