read in the Hamilton Spectator yesterday that they are making a new Bond movie, entitled Everything For Nothing. They are looking at Catherine Zeta Jones as the Bond babe, and Mariah Carrey music for the title song.
=========================================
had actually heard that the film is simply going to be James Bond: 21

Set in World War 2, Tarantino's story revolves around group of soldiers on their way to be executed, only they get the chance for a reprieval. He describes them as "Not your normal hero types that are thrown into a big deal in World War II." This is the only information he will release at present.

But I thought that the Bond team are trying to find a replacement for Brosnan? Then wouldn't it be moot to carry the due dilligence with him?

Jam Mama:

Again FYI and for other QT fans ofcourse:

This is from a recent interview April 2004.

###########################3

Quentin Tarantino told SCI FI Wire that he has talked to Pierce Brosnan about adapting Casino Royale as Brosnan's fifth and final James Bond film. The director noted that his challenge would be to convince producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli to diverge from the current formula of expensive action set pieces.

"I don't see that they have anything to lose at all," Tarantino said in an interview while promoting his latest film, Kill Bill, Vol. 2. "They've got this gigantic franchise, they can't do anything wrong with it. Pierce Brosnan's only going to do one more movie for them, if that, so if he stayed on to do one more with me, let's just this one year go my way and do it a little differently. I won't do anything that will ruin the series."

Tarantino hopes that the offer of a low budget and Brosnan's return would convince the producers to approve a one-time-only return to the character-driven spy plots of the first several 007 films. "Wouldn't it be great to have a James Bond movie that didn't cost $115 million and only cost $40 million or something like that?" he asked. "You know it's going to make its money back, and we [would] all do good. Maybe we win the critics this time, then you're back in business the way you were before."

Tarantino felt there was only "a thin chance" that he would win the project, and said he would concede to update the 1952 novel for the present day. "If I owned the material, I would set it in the '60s, but I'm sure I'd have to do it now." Casino Royale was first adapted as a comedy in 1967.

Interesting maava! Does the website mention anything about CASINO ROYALE? Apparently, this guy was so inspired by this movie( a spoof on Bond) that he wanted to remake it. Any news on that?

Jamadagni Mama:

NO .. It lloks like it is THREE volumes as opposed to TWO. But he has strong reasons.

Look at the following information from a Tranatino Forum of which I am regular member/contributor.

##################################
In an interview in the latest issue of "Vanity Fair," Quentin Tarantino reveals that one of the projects he worked on in the six years in between the releases of Jackie Brown and Kill Bill Vol. 1 was trying to hammer 'Inglorious Bastards' down as a script. In the process, however, he ended up not writing one script, but three feature-length scripts which he now plans on actually filming as such, rather than doing just one. Some of the questions that remain unknown are if all three films will be called 'Inglorious Bastards' (Volumes 1 through 3?), if 'Inglorious Bastards' is just the name of the first film, if the stories are complete separate, if they feature the same core group of characters, or if they are all basically the same, really-long story, broken out into three parts. Another question to ponder is... will QT try to film all three movies at once, back-to-back?

Hello Singh and Chalam maavalu,

Fabulous! Hope he does not repeat the mistake of splitting the movie into two parts. Now, KB2 has only an OUTSIDE chance of winning an Oscar!!

Jam Mama:

Long time. Howz you. Yes mama, QT fans know this from a long time becuase he announce this about an year ago.

Excerpts from a recent interview regarding this movie.

Q. You've got the script written for Inglorious Bastards - what's your take on WWII? Obviously it will be different from anything we've seen before.
It'll have a very epic feel. It'll be my take on the sociological battlefield at that time with the racism and barbarism - on both sides. On the Nazi side and the American side and the black soldiers and Jewish soldiers and Nazis and the French, because it all takes place in France.

Q. Is it just after D-Day?
Yeah, depending on exactly how I end up finally struturing it but there are sequences that happen before D-Day - I'll have little things like 'One Year After Occupation', and 'Four Months After Occupation. 'Two years Before Occupation' - that kind of thing, but the thrust of the story will happen after D-Day.

Q. Are you shooting it in Spain?
I don't know where I'm going to shoot it. We'll figure out where I'm going to shoot it when I'm 100 per cent go on it. The other thing about it is, again, it'll kind of be my spaghetti western too. It's the one time in the 20th Century where that almost kind of spaghetti western, barren no man's land, landscape happened with the Nazis taking over countries.

Q. It sounds like Kelly's Heroes...
Kelly's Heroes is a real lark. I never felt like it was that much of a spaghetti western, it was more of a caper film. I want it to be more like what The Good, The Bad And The Ugly was to the civil war.

INGLORIOUS BASTARDS is the title of his next project, which is scheduled to hit the theaters in 2006. The word is that it is an epic WW2 film.
