how about 35088/4 = 8772..so each file will be 8772 lines so here is ur final 4 parts file

split -l 8772 example.csv

the above cmd divides example into files with each file at 8772 lines..give it a try and lemme know

hemanthaa 4 parts ante mari neenu choostuna man page lo just number of parts but divide ledu..lets do something find out how many lines are there in the file and tell me how much each part should be..do something like

cat myfile.csv|wc -l

that should give u number of lines in a file

Finally, assume myfile is a 160KB file:
split -b 40k myfile segment This will output four 40KB files: segmentaa, segmentab, segmentac, and segmentad.

naa daggara oka 4129KB file undi. adi .csv file. naaku ippudu danni 4 parts ga vidakottalani undi unix command tho. tail vadocha. andulo lines aduguthundi input. oka vela 9000 lines ani > ani vere file create chesanu. next files create cheyyalante aa input file lo starting line number isthaniki kuduruthunda aa command lo?? last file ela create cheyyali, endukante enni lines migili unnayo theliyadu. ela how??
