Heroine Asin had acted with the top stars in South India, and had earned the ‘glamour image’ without having to expose. But she wants to shed that off, and prefers to be known as an ‘actress’ than a heroine. For, that she is even willing to a few bold roles which are versatile as she claims. She says, “I am a great fan of Savitra, Saradha and Rekha. I love old movies, and watch them regularly. I even want to do a role similar to the one Rekha did in Kama Sutra.” And for those who are not much aware of that role, it’s a Mira Nair film where Rekha plays a courtesan or simply a high class hooker in today’s terms. In that film, Rekha teaches a younger actress the lessons in Kama Sutra and some tips on seduction. Now, are we reading too much into this or is it a good hint to our film makers?
