Symptoms
- Oracle Application Server 10g installed on Red Hat AS 3
- Enterprise Manager starts successfully with:
"emctl start iasconsole"
- Accessing the Application Server Control Home Page with: http://<host.domain>:<port>
- The user/password box appears and is user/password is entered.
- The web page then hangs and the progress bar just continues.
- Nothing is ever returned to the screen.
- The $OH/sysman/emd/logs/emagent.trc shows that the agent process is dying:

Cause
Bug: 4145756 - AS CONSOLE HANGS IN AS 10G 10.1.2
There is a problem with RHAT 3 Update 4 and 5 only, in that it causes the Enterprise Manager Agent to core dump.
Solution
To workaround the problem follow these steps:
1. Open the /boot/grub/grub.conf file and add "noexec=off" , for example:

"Log on to Oracle Enterprise Manager Application Server Control" (http://xxx.yyy.com:1810/) I get a blank page
OS Redhat ES 3.0
but xxx.yyy.com:1810/emd/console/aboutApplication works fine.
All the other jobs (Web server, OC4J, OPMN) run okay.
emctl status agent also confirms daemon is running.
Any suggestions.

297674.1 could be your solution.
the doc says "only RH3AS Update4", but it happened on my RH3ES.
EM64T has a function for java buffar overflow, and noexec=off will disable the function.
