Chalam, actually I was expecting it to be a real good movie based on your reco ! But the Inital 45 mins narration was snail paced and does not keep the viewer glued to the story.
Actually it starts to open up when the kid actually express his love. From then onwards the director was on the right track till the ending.

I rarely miss any woody allen movie mama
it was a brit movie aimed at a brit audience mainly. and the director I think was just WISHING for a PM with some spine, hence that episode. I was actually surprised by that scene and would like to know the british reaction to it cuz Brits traditionally hate jingoism and this was like a frickin cowboy scene .. mayb they just let it pass |

Chalam mia Well it did insult viewers intelligence in a couple of episodes(especially Hugh grants - well you can say the same for "American President" movie where Douglas did similar to Hugh Grant but it is more realistic.)
What was that about hugh grant being the man of hour when all the brit PM's in reality does is to swing his head like donkey to every whim of USA

like what movies mama ? btw, I do not vouch for the movie in a big way cuz personally I do not care for such movies but my recommendation to vennela was because of the theme of the movie. and I think it was handled decently .. I was pleased that he did not put the crappy rich poor angle anywhere majorly, there's no bad acting and the movie prods along quite smoothly ... movie premise tho manam oppukolekapothe movie can be bad and it's an ideological conflict but if the movie sticks to its premise without insulting your intelligence, theres no reason to snub it if u ok with the premise |

sare movie kosthe, bob thornton episode was a take off on clinton and some crappy jingoism for the brits, the major down side of the movie but to establish grant's character's strong stand later in the movie, that's the launching pad.
the purpose of the movie itself is about the omnipresence of love. if you have ever been in love, u'd prolly relate better to it. ee different threads anedi, jsut a tool that directors from the times of Magnolia have been using to effectively put forth a point (a rather weak one ) without losing on the pace of the 2 hr long movie. Basic gaa,
