I enjoyed this movie.
This is definitely better than Spiderman 2 as well.
I really don't know why spider man 2 was so hyped up with such reviews.
We may not like the message, but shooting the messenger is wrong and foolish.  |

I saw this movie in San Francisco's Metreon cineplex.. the screen is almost of IMAX proportions, with a soopur sound system, and maybe that influenced why I enjoyed the movie.. the movie was better than I actually expected seeing the promos. Should say it was a surprise seeing how much better the actual movie is compared to the impressions the promos give you.
The movie is a little confusing, though. If the robots CANNOT violate the three laws, as the laws are hard-wired into their circuits, how did 'VIKI' make them act otherwise?? Granted, VIKI is a pure AI, it could evolve to disregard the three laws, but if the robots are hard-wired to obey the three laws at all times, how did they come under control of VIKI to harm some humans??
Overall impression: this movie is slightly more entertaining than Minority Report.. A definite one-time see..

I agree with till this point, but in the later part of the movie..it becoming boring with overdose of graphics and cliched when the people revolt against the robots...

The three Robot laws are:
1. A robot cannot harm a human being, nor through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm
2. A robot must obey a human being, except when it conflicts with the first law.
3. A robot must strive to protect its own existence, except where it conflicts with the first two laws.

I liked this movie. Nice Sci-fi/Action/Comedy for the summer. I donno how its gonna fare at the box-office and how the reviews gonna be! I liked the concept though its little confusing and silly. Will smith was gud, i liked his comedy.i donno why some ppl hated his comedy the robots were awesome. chicago in 2035 was interesting. Future looked interesting with robots, new technology,etc, Will smith's car was awesome I dont think these kinda things happen in neat future. it might take min of 50yrs for sure!
Good movie, can watch it once in the theaters!
