HDD rpm will be same for all the latest drives...
the only parameter to watch out is GB/$

booting from external hard drive MAKES NO SENSE.
the only reason i see for getting an external hdd is to be able to carry your valuable huge volumes of data to places. i dont see why anyone would want to install OS on removable devices... unless you have millions of dollars worth data on ur drive which you would want to lock it in your safe after every use.
but still if you want to install and boot from USB drive, just for the heck of it, just for your fantasies... you can do it. but not all motherboards suport it.
check it out on Dell website you will find some info..
NOTE: if you install an OS on an external hard drive you can use it only for the cpu that you installed it for. |

this is the highest config you can get in dvd writers.
next gen dvd writers will have blue lasers.. with 30-50GB capacities |

i dont think this is the best time of the year to buy a desktop...
you will have atleast $100 difference if you wait for couple of months
summer had one of the best deals ever...
and buy the dvd writer seperately...
MUST read the reviews on www.dvdrhelp.com before deciding on one...
