I wont say they are minnows. They are not as good as the mighty aussies by anyways. I'd say VVS's performance is not good when compared to Aus. He had good performances under his kitty during last WI series. I find no reason why VVS can't click against NZ, Eng, SA. I'm sure he's gonna play well against them too. |

India won the match and elected to bat. A over lo 17 runs kottadu tendulkar last ball ki LBW out it was clearly over the sticks and utterly foolish umpiring .. Commentator was Bill Lawry and he himself said it was really bad umpiring anni.. kavali ante tapes tepinchukoni mari choodu.

I do agree with you that Lakshman should have been selected for this one against Australia since he is having great track record against Australia.But the discussion is taking a side track by unnecessarily bringing Master Blaster Sachin into discussion. For all the fools, who're arguing against Sachin, go to the flash back once. It is Sachin, who was the top scorer in the 1992 test series. Even in the world cup (same year, 1992 ) Sachin was the top scorer. These 2 events happened in Australia.
Again in 1999 tour of Australia, Sachin was the only consistent performer and was the top scorer in that series.
When Aussies toured India in 1998, again Sachin was the top scorer in both Oneday Internationals and Tests.
The only time he was not that successfull was the recent tour in Australia but still in oneday Internationals, his performance is very good. Even in many other tournaments, he was India's best against Australia. Did you guys forget Australia's top 2 bowlers(McGrath and Warne) statements that Sachin is the most feared batsman for them in International Cricket?Okka series sariggaa adaka pothe paatha career antha marchi povatamenaa?
Till recently, he was the best against Aussies. Always Aussies used to talk of only Sachin. They used to say that if Sachin is removed, it means that they have won 50% of the match. That is Sachin's impact on the Aussies.He has over 15 centuries against Aussies in both Onedays and Internationals. It's very unfair to say on one's part that Sachin is not successful against Australia. He is the most successful batsman till date against Australia.But with his magestic knock of 281 in 2001 series, Lakshman also became a night mare to Australians and continued that terrific form in the recent concluded series in Australia.
They did a big blunder by not picking Lakshman in the final x1. |

Married to an Indian Jew back in Mumbai, Gupta immigrated with his wife to Israel in 2001. He earlier played for Mohammedan Sporting, Kolkata, and with teams in Kenya and Bangladesh.
"With an impressive pool of young talent among immigrants from India, South Africa and England, Israel won the under-13 European Championship last year and has been slowly nurturing talent to build a formidable team in the foreseeable future," said Israel Cricket Association secretary Naor Gudker, also of Indian origin.
The ICA has been an associate ICC member since 1974 and was one of the founding members of ECC in 1996.
ICA chairman Stanley Perlman was recently elected to the 13-member executive board of the International Cricket Council.

How can you conclude there wont be any better cricketer than Sachin from India??. I'm sure that it'd be very hard for anybody on the earth to beat his personal records. With those records, he became a celebrity nothing more than that. He achieved more for himself than for the team. So he can be proud of himself not for the team. |
