There is an idiomatic expression in English called ‘the skeleton in the cupboard’, which means the hidden or unknown secret behind certain happenings. The same has been revealed by ‘Teja’, the newly born Telugu News Weekly in the matter of Chiranjeevi and his idea of entering into politics.
Recently the gossip has made rounds among a few circles that Chiranjeevi has got a call from Mulayam Singh Yadav with an idea of spreading his party to other states. The magazine says that Jayaprada who is already the member of the Samajvadi Party has suggested the name of Chiranjeevi when Mulayam asked her for the purpose. Amar Singh is trying his level best to bring Chiranjeevi to the side of Samajvadi Party by indoctrinating his mind.
However, the magazine states, “Chiranjeevi has decided to enter politics in 1999 elections as the people of a community brought pressure on Chiranjeevi to do so. But he was stopped by Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu spoke to him softly and discouraged entering politics. He also granted him a 10 crore worth land in Jubilee Hills towards the construction of blood bank. Later when the pressure continued on Chiranjeevi from Dasari Narayana Rao and other bigwigs to join politics, Chandrababu frightened Chiranjeevi indirectly in another way. The revenue and town planning authorities have checked Chiranjeevi’s house and reported that 1400 yards of Government’s land is in ‘kabza’ which worth Rs. 3 Crores. Rumors also aired that Chiranjeevi would be attacked by Income Tax authorities during Vajpayee government. It can be easily understood who the man behind this situation was. However, Chiranjeevi stepped back from starting his new party and entering politics. Otherwise the political scene in the state would be something different. Only time should show what step Chiranjeevi would take for the coming elections and what ground work he makes before that”.
Well, would Chiranjeevi come on to the political picture?! How would be the tug between ‘Mega Star’ and Chandrababu Naidu?
