1st half of the movie is good.

it ran 100days in few direct centers ,appatlo bomma 100days ante superhit range
and also movie was remade in hindi,so no losses for producer i think so |

Genboo ur review is completely revolving around single point that is the tragic climax.
Everything was good according to u but just becoz of the ending u say that the movie is screwed up.
Climax doesnt matter as long as the movie is good.
dont try to write the reviews just to cricize..
try to write the pros and cons. one more thing i can tell u is if the dir gives a tragic ending u cant term the dir. as saddist..my dear..
its better to give a feel for the movie rather than stereotyped ending which is like SUBHAM card..
watch out recent movie KADHAL ( tamil movie )..its a tragic ending..its a big hit and the ending needs to be that way only either it is tamil or telugu.. |

First of all let me congratulate Ramesh(diro) for taking the bold decision of giving the story a tragic ending. ( i will not reveal it). now i want to ask the diro some clarifications.
1) Do you believe in Love?
2) What was the message you were trying to convey?
3)Is it your paithyam or of some others to give the ending like that?
The only word that describes the film is "Directors Sadism". To explain it clearly, one who laughs at the sorrow's of others can be termed as sadist. I thought till now only tamil directors are sadists. Ramesh is no exception, being an andhraite.
Here he laughs at the plights of his hero and heroine. ( May be from now on the plights of his producer after the movie got released). A beautiful love story that starts in the greeneries of palakollu takes all the turns to end abruptly in hyderabad is what "oka oorilo" is all about. No need to elaborate it as it will make the review as boring as the movie. Atleast there were some comedians like sunil(Hero of first half), MS, bramham in the movie to keep u engaged.
Coming to performances, Tarun did this character n times in his career. Thank God, dialouges are not the same. Saloni is beautiful through out the movie but it seems she was struggling a bit while giving right expressions in sad scenes. She looked extremely beautiful when clad with Traditional Langa-Voni. Raja comes in the second half ( actual hero of second half). He looked at ease in the character. He mouthed some good dialogues towards the end of the film.
Among the rest, as i have already said sunil has the major part in the first half and his one liners got good response. Rest all others are okay.
Coming to my favourite techinal department stuff, Dialogue department and cinematography were the two departments that gave something. Cinematography was stunning in the first half capturing the beauties of palakollu well. Dialogues were good, be it one liners/comedy in first half or the thought provoking dialouges at the end of the film. Okay with the lyrics written by anant sriram. Production values by chanti are good. But the story/diro selection left lot to be needed. Devi as usual gave something which he only can term it as music. songs coming as a break to the flow made them even worse.
Now about the screenplay. I am sure diro himself was confused while presenting. There is a thin line between creating some suspense and making viewers confused. Diro was successful in the later. He successfully confused the audience with the charecterisation of Hero and Heroine. If the diro has spent sometime on the story part of the film rather than on giving the film poetic/asthetic look, he would surely have succeded. He should know the difference between poster design and film design. In one of his interview he said he will be back to his poster design if this film fails. Thank god, we will not get a feel of his sadistic thoughts again.
Overall, a film to forget. |
