the remake rights of muqaddar ka sikandar for telugu belonged to m.s. raju's father m. rayapa raju who made it as prEma tarangAlu. may be m.s. raju might have rehashed it a bit. |

Incidentally this movie was played on one of our local ethnic channels yesterday. I was shell shocked when I noticed that the movie's Base story has been ripped off with little additions and substractions in the form of Manasantha Nuvve starring Ututi Star Uday Kiran.

way before M.S. rAju, this was ripped off by dAsari in the form of rangoon rouDi inspite of the fact that this movie rights were brought to be remade with kRshNam rAju and chiranjeevi.
including the song 'O sAthee rEy' and the whole of child hood scenes of the hero and heroine it was directly lifted into rangoon rouDi (O jAbilI vennelA AkASam unnadE nIkOsam). the changed part was the girl who later turns out to be the heroine gets kidnapped and was made as a dancer (which is combining rEkha's and rakhee's role into one), the boy who turns out to be the hero becomes a rouDI |
