In an exclusive interview to a leading TV channel, NTR denied the reports that his film was made on a budget of 18-20 crores. He said, “A film which had the grandness of Simhadri had cost 13 crores. How can this movie cost more than that? The 20 crore figure was made up the media. The costs and business details are there on my finger tips, but there is no reason to reveal it.” He also confessed he gave up his remuneration of 3 crore, and gave another 3 crores to the producer Chengala Venkat Rao, so that he can obtain a No-Objection certificate from financiers and release the film. He also said the movie is doing well, and is confident of recovering the money he paid. He thanked his audience by saying, “Ee cinema ni intha baaga aadaricchina prekshakulaki na kruthagnyathalu.” |
