Sorry guys, went for lunch.
I am of the same opinion as what DeepBlue expressed in his Post No 1929.
The reason I got pissed off is not because they hailed America. We all came here for livelihood and we should certainly hail the country which is giving us bread and butter.
But they came to a HINDI movie, They started criticizing Hindi actors, and when serious patriotic scenes were going on they started shouting unrelated slogan HAIL AMERICA!!
Ante akkada jaruguthunna scenes anni paniki raani scenes and chusthunna vallantha paniki raani vallanaa artham??

if the question is that do ABCD's have (or need to have) desa bhakthi towards INDIA then the Answer should be NO (there is no need to have).

1) These ABCD's, why should they come to an Indian Movie and criticize our actors??
Well.. you have seen the worst cases (assuming they r of indian origin) and it is not right to stereotype all ABCD's based on what u experienced.I know quite a few guys who are american born but are pretty much indianized. The difference between me and them is that they speak english with a american accent thats all. |

mama, I have a colleague, who is a Gujju, and born as an NRI.
He doesn't care about India, u know. They don't know much about India and how can you expect someone to be patriotic of a land, they doesn't know?

MyOp: Saying "HAIL AMERICA" doesn't mean they are degrading INDIANS.
For example, I would like to quote a scene from Gadar, where the pakistani officer asks Sunny Deol to say "Pakistan Zindabad" and Sunny Deol being an Indian says it and also repeats it. But, he becomes ferocious once they ask him to say "Hindustan Murdabad".
So, I believe, "HAIL AMERICA" doesn't mean they degraded INDIA or INDIANS. They are americans, and thats the way they feel. Its not about which ethnic group you belong to, country is first.
But, yeah they created some nuisance and instead of getting into an argument with those drunk buch of idiots, people should have complained to the management that they were distrubing others with their comments. Arguments won't help.

ABCD - American Born Confused Desi
Yesterday I went to DEEWAR movie in North Brunswick, NJ!! The show I went was 10PM show!!
Immediately after the show started a group of 4 to 5 guys started commenting cheaply on the movie and AMITABH!! It went on for 10 to 15 minutes and in between twice one of those guys shouted Hail AMERICA!!
With this suddenly two guys(they came with families) charged to these 5 guys and asked them to ShutUp!! The arguement broke out and a elderly SIKH man who came along with his wife and son aged may be 25 went to settle the issue!!
The ASS HOLES(those 5 who shouted HAIL AMERICA) started arguing loud that they are AMERICAN born and so whats so wrong in shouting that way!! All the 5 are fully drunk and at one stage pushed the old SARDAR aside. This irked the SARDAR's son(even he seems to be atleast a GC Holeder or even a citizen) and he aggressively went to those 5 and started arguing!! Some 3 to 4 other guys also went there and at one point they went to the extent of exchanging blows!! The Screening stopped!!
At this point the COPS were called in and atleast 12 people were taken out including these ABCD's who even that time were telling COPS that are targetted by the SARDAR and others for shouting HAIL AMERICA!! Others vehemently complained these 5 are drunk and are disturbing others from watching the movie!!
Finally 10 people were asked to leave and I don't know whether their names were recorded or whether they were warned!!
Now my concern and question is:
1) These ABCD's, why should they come to an Indian Movie and criticize our actors??
2) Why should they shout HAIL AMERICA?? Do that mean they are degrading INDIANS and they don't HAIL INDIA(atleast I felt they mean that way)??
I am confused but at one stage I shouted to one of those guys to shut his mouth if he wants to watch the movie or just get out and watch a ENGLISH movie!! Some other guy shouted are you Indian or are you a Pakisthani!!
