2nd of all venkatesh great actor emi kaadhu...he got nandi awards only because of suresh production...when ever venkatesh was going through a rough patch suresh prod. made a movie with venkatesh to get him a nandi ...look at his three movies that got him a nandi...Prema...Dharma chakram...Ganesh..all three were produced by suresh and they came when venkatesh was in a rough patch<<<<<<<<<<<<,,

VV Vinayak combo lo May 1st na start ayye movie kooda action movie ne
Gharshana wud have been successful except for the mishandled second half.
I do not think SCB will end venky's action image.. it will just give him time to think over his judgement. SCB lo acting ki manchi scope undani accept chesi untaadu even though he didn't want to work for AD.
Anyways.. i am still gonna watch SCB  |

Venkatesh was never a big success in action movie. He always or most of the times succeeded as a pamily hero and pamily movies ki adarana yeppatiki taggadu kabatti untadu.
it is not entirely true. watch his movies kaliyuga pAnDavulu, dhRvanakshatram, Satruvu, bobbili rAjA, coolie no:1 etc. of late he had hits with family entertainers more than with action movies (especially after chanTi). |

filmchamber review of SCB
Synopsis
The stage is set in 1946. Chandram (Venkatesh) happens to be the ardent follower of Netaji Subash Chandrabose. The local population at Chintapalli village fondly calls Chandram as Bose, who destroys the might of the British administration. As a retort, the British officers hire one of Chandram's gang members, Bandodu (Prakash Raj). Bandodu betrays Chandram, and as a result the latter is killed along with his lover (Shriya).
After a long time in the post-independent India , Chandram@Bose reincarnates as Ashok to take vengeance against Bandodu. How he accomplishes the mission forms the rest of the story.
Performance
Venkatesh did extremely well both the characters of Chandram and Ashok. But both the characters could not convince the audience.
Shriya is superb in the role of village lass with patriotic feelings. Casting her in the attire of the 1940s costumes resulted in much expose, which might keep the family audience away from the theatres. Genelia's role is routine and holds no interest.
Prakash Raj is average as main villain.
Gulshan Grover appears as British Officer and his characterization is well done.
Tom Alter appears in the role of Governor.
Kota played the role of subordinate to Gulshan Grover.
Tanikella Bharani played the role of Venkatesh' father.
Krishna Bhagawan donned the job of comedy track.
Technical Performance
Story & Screenplay & Direction: The story is farfetched and defies logic. The “Reincarnation” factor is not developed properly.
Screenplay is clumsy and makes the audience leave the theatres at any moment.
Narration and Direction by Dharsakendra K Raghavendra Rao failed to create the desired results among the audience. With this KRR disappoints the audience to the worst degree.
Music by Mani Sharma alone comes as a saving grace. A couple of songs are good. Background score disappoints.
Photography by Bhupati is nice.
Dialogues by Paruchuri brothers are not interesting.
Ashok's artwork is praiseworthy.
Stunts by Vijayan master is just average.
FC Verdict
The movie is opened to a disappointing talk all over the state. Barring a few minutes in the beginning, the entire film runs on a confusing note and mauls the audience interest. |

does the disaster of SCB confirm the end of Venkatesh's action career...all of his recent hit films were love-family drama...sankranthi, vasantham, malleswari, nuvvu naaku nachav..all of his recent action films have flopped, SCB, Gharshana, and Gemini... |
