Haha. This is a lame excuse.
1. Hayden made 380 in well under two days. Australia won that match by convincingly by Innings and 100+ runs.
2. Lara took two and half days to declare first innings. WI drew the match because of Lara.
3. Most importantly, WI was trailing with 3-0 against England where as AUS swept the test series against Zim.

If Sachin is that good, Why didn't we win a SINGLE series Overseas? His contribution to the team is zero during Australian tour, except that 241.
Basically, he failed big time in crucial matches. Occassional brilliance in unworthy matches were good enough to keep him afloat.

Only time I saw Sachin winning matches for India was in Sharjah against Aussies. He made 145 in SemiFinals and 134 or something in Finals. Never before or Never After. |

Dravid, Sourav, Sehwag & Yuvraj are match winners in crucial times, but not Sachin.
Sachin plays well only in dabba matches against B'desh or Zimbabwe and makes those centuries.

even though i am a huge dravid fan i have to say sachin has been treated unfairly by the media and the indian public. before dravid or ganguly became popular it was sachin tendulkar who saved india many times and infact the fate of india depended upon the fate of sachin.
however, recently sachin has become to record conscious. however, this is also the media's fault to a certain extent. initially sachin used to play very quickly and it always seemed like india would win a match. however once sachin got out all the other batsmen failed to deliver. then media would blame sachin for the loss instead of the other 10 players in the team. so sachin became more conscious of his score and his time at the crease. also it should be noted that sachin has made most of his centuries i think batting first. and then india went on to win those games. has anybody imagined what would have happened if sachin hadnt scored those centuries. also sachin has contributed numerous time bowling. |
