I think Data redundancy Check (CRC) - Write speed ki link leka povachu.

Most of times I get this error while trying to copy data from CD to HDD
with those free after Rebate CDs.

I avoid this prblm by burning DATA CD upto 500mb.

Even a small scratch on the CD surface also results to CRC, unable to read condition.

After a couple of READS too, these cheap CD-Rs fail.

Nero CD burning soft is most preffered Softi. Use that to burn .dat (movie) files as Video CD.

mamalu,
i have some doubts on CR writing.

1)what is the best speed usually to burn a CD?

some say itz best to go with 4x or 8x..some say otherwise..
i am using samsung 52/24/52 configuration.

2)How to avoid CRC error or inpage operation error?
this happens always to me while copying the data from say a VCD or any data CD to the hard disk..

3) is there any better way to copy the .dat file other than windows copying or dos copy(xcopy)?

in both the above cases..i get the CRC error ..most of the times..

naa doubts ki answer cheppi punyam kottukondi mamalu..
