Fashion shows seem to be a big hit in our city. No one ever tires of them. There were two shows on Sunday. One was by Tommy Hilfiger to launch their spring/summer line and another by designer Shikha Verma. The Tommy Hilifiger one was a cosy do. Can you believe it, it started on time! This is a miracle in the world of fashion. And another very rare occurrence was that the place wasn’t swarming with people. The crowd was quite select and consisted mainly of the filmis. This was to be expected because producer Raghavendra Rao’s son owns the store. His daughter Madhavi was the belle of the show, mingling with everyone from Namrata Shirodkar, actress Trisha, director Manjula, Archie Paranjee to Shahsidhar Reddy’s son and daughter-in-law Aditya and Nidhi.
Namrata Shirodkar was a picture of happiness. Never seen her look so radiant before, marriage is suiting her to the tee. Another one who looked very much at ease was Trisha. Shikha Verma’s show too didn’t have hoards of people. This was a sensible decision as restaurants and bars are not equipped to deal with dozens of people. Shikha got a couple of her friends to model for her. Seen at the show were Nandita Shetty, Aradhana Reddy (who also modeled), Mehjabeen and Usha Badruka (the designer will retail from Usha’s store).
