also if the sqlnet file has a default for the server name this should be commented out. |

hemanth no regedit. c:\oracle\oracle81\network\admin\tnsnames.ora file lo changes cheyyali. I don't think you will be knowing all the database info you need like port number etc. So just get the file from you office computer and copy (replace) it to this folder. |

hemanth,
on your pc where you trying to connect from have oracle clinet. That oracle client should know whch database to connect to. You will provide that information in tnsnames.org file in the path I mentioned.
What you goto do you copy TNSNMAES.org file from your office system to you personal pc in the same or similar path. You will be all set. |

go to your tools> internet options > security > custom level > (scrolldown)user athentication : enable it
also scroll for active x controls > enable it
binary script ; enable
software channel : enable
try logging in
or else repeat the above steps |
