this time i am writing on the andhrula andala hero none other that natabhushana "Sobhan Babu"
sobhan babu started his career more or less at the same time of ssk, and he got his reputation as a hero in 'Veerabhimanyu'. though he acted in many mythological and social movies, he got appreciation mostly from his movies having two heroines. he acted in message oriented hit films like balipeetham, rojulu marayee, etc and commericial hits like soggadu, jebu donga, babu,etc, but he got the name majorly for the ladies oriented movies like karthika deepam, bava maradallu, gorintaku, radha krishna, devatha, mallepuvu, a few for name sake. he is one of the hero who acted in many multistarrer hits with krishna like mundadugu, mande gundelu, iddaru dongalu, krishnarjunulu, puttinillu mettinillu, and none other than the old classics manchi mitrulu and gudhachari 116.
he has the immense following of the ladies which was revealed by the presence of a majority of lady audience on the first day of his movie release. he has a very good taste in making message oriented movies, which prompted him to make his own movie 'Devalayam' with late T. Krishna. to be frank he is one of the hero who has minimum guarantee for a movie because of his lady following. at one stage ladies used to think that they should handsome husband like sobhan babu that showed his following. he was one of the hero who has high success rate in the telugu film industry |
