krishna in one his interviews that time mentioned that his own banner movies should select heroes on the basis of subjects. that is why the role went to kr, and similarly some of the movies of vijayakrishna banner chandramohan was the hero. |

during the time late seventees to late eightees, the name "Krishna " was enough to bring the money for the producer of his movies. irrespective of the type of movie be it was social, jamesbond, cowboy, mythological, janapadam, a flop movie of krishna used to run for minimun 6 to 7 weeks in many centers. the producers will always happy with krishna and that was the reason many production units produced continuous movies with him (like doondy, satyachitra, nandigam productions, amrutha films, etc)
during his entire career he never afraid to perform with any artiste in any multistarrer movie (which was not done many of his contemperors as they felt that their role should be dominated by the other hero). at one time his own movies were his competition, that was the flow of krishna movies. he was the only hero who produced a movie with his competetor krishnam raju (marana sasanam) when he was in peak position. that was the daringness of krishna.
he has done to the best of his to the telugu cinema. that is why i never like to compare him with anybody.
everybody has their own limitations and krishna was not an exception for that. though he is week in some parts of action, but he was the only hero acted in some movies without any heroine (like eenadu, rajakeeya chadarangam).
as he was the hero sankranti, on the day of sankranti a small information on him.
