KF helped MAR in getting first review. so MAR is thkful to him. later KF started degrading MASS in his own way. as a friendly gesture for his deeds MAR put up release list of BALU in his site. ofcourse we derived different meaning out of it and playing with johnny pans.

Synopsis : Ghani (Pawan Kalyan) is an orphan raised by Delhi’s new don – Khan who is also from Hyderabad. He turns into Khan’s henchman committing all the crimes his boss wants, until one day when he refuses to kill a young innocent woman Indu (Neha Oberoi). This makes way for a difference between the don and his own man. Why Ghani dint kill has a track, which is worth seeing on screen. Khan plans to eliminate Ghani, but his plan is unsuccessful and it leaves the hero with a mere wound, while the girl Indu gets killed in the combat. The next episode opens in Hyderabad where Pawan Kalyan christens himself as Balu, the name his dead lover assigns to him. He is a florist in the market area, and is on a mission to eliminate the local mafia head Nayudamma (Milind Gunaji), who has control over the land. But, why should Balu try to eliminate Nayudamma who has no connection to his past? How do Shriya and Pawan Kalyan meet and what’s the revenge factor in the film? The answers to these form the story’s crux.
Performances : Pawan Kalyan looks very handsome, and sports trendy costumes in the film. He attempts the stereotype telugu cinema dances, and is successful at them. He delivers the comedy punches with his trademark dialogues deliver, and is adorable in the romantic tracks with both the heroines. He has a much younger screen-age that his earlier two films, and it would be nice to see him doing more love stories. He excels in the fights department this time, though they were not choreographed by him. All-in-all, its Pawan Kalyan in totally a new avatar, a one his fans want to see him in. Shriya looks very beautiful in the film, and performs all the hip-shakes and pelvic thrusts in the songs. Debutant Neha Oberoi, though an average-looker grows on you slowly as the film progresses. She suits the role of an innocent girl, who falls in love with one of the most feared men in Delhi. Jayasudha fits in the role of Pawan Kalyan’s mother, while Sunil generates some comedy as the hero’s friend. Master Teja and Baby Kavya (the famous Gangotri pair) has a romantic track between them, which is very cute. Gulshan Grover is just okay, as Khan and his voice was dubbed by Benarjee. The performances of other artistes too were competent.
Technical Departments : Director Karunakaran comes up with a story, totally made for Pawan Kalyan. Though the initial sportion uses the Rajinikanth’s Basha format where the hero is on a mission and stays away from his hometown hiding his old identity, the latter portions are different. He sprinkled the story with love, comedy, sentiment and action scenes making a good balance. His screenplay skills are sharp too, as there are very few boring movements in the film. The dialogues by Kona Venkat meet the requirements, while his Hindi dialogues could have been better. Ramesh Babu is successful as the cinematographer as he portrayed the hero well on screen, captured the grandeur of the sets on his lens and is technically proficient. Music by Manisharma is the one of the film’s highlights. His trendy background score for the romantic scenes and powerful one for the serious scenes help us getting into the mood. The tracks – ‘Inte Intinte’ , ‘Hut Hutja’, ‘Neelo Jarige’ and ‘Kannu Kottina’ are instant hits. Choreography by Kalyan for the intro song is good, while Saroj Khan comes up with racy steps mostly mostly performed by Shriya. Acclaimed choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant came up with good concepts like rain on the sets, snowfall, erected good sets to make the songs visually rich. But, there should have been more steps and movements, which is one of the minor drawbacks. Art work by Anand Sai is very good, especially the orange-color mega set erected for the ‘Ati Metthani... Nacchave Accham Telugabbi’ song. Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao too did good work as an editor. One of the technicians who should take good credit is choreographer Vijayan. The fights were effective, thanks to his sound technical knowledge. He presented Kalyan in a new dimension performing raw, brutal fights. The concept he had come up with in the climax, where the hero eliminates all the villains, without raising his hand or using a gun will go down well with the masses. The producer C. Ashwini Dutt makes his film the Vyjayanthi style of huge sets, big star cast and top technicians. The publicity of the film could have been a bit better.
Analysis : There are no dull moments in the first half as its filled with fights, comedy, love scenes. The interval bang is decent, though not striking. The second half starts off in Delhi and the story progresses at a good pace, which makes way for an all-ends-well climax. Again, the Pawan-Neha love episode, and action sequences have to be watched out for. The director has a taken a few cinematic licenses in the story like all the main characters in Delhi – the villain Khan, the hero Balu and heroine Indu being Hyderabad based people settled in Delhi, and the highly placed police officers working so openly for the mafia. Its excusable as it has no major say in the film’s story. There would be nothing left to criticize about Kalyan, had he performed a few more fast-paced steps in the second half too.
