Budget flops and Cost failures
Some of our budget-craze producers/directors/actors seem to have forgotten simple economics that govern the outcome of a film being a hit/flop. It is just a commonsense that if you make a film under 5 crores, you would deliver a blockbuster even if it collects a share 8 crores. If you make a film over 15 crores, then that film would become a blooper even if it collects a share of 14 crores. Certain films are being termed as budget flops or cost failures even before the release of the films because of high budgets. Cutting the hero/director's remunerations and limiting the wastage of production days would eventually bring down the budget, which in turn would make a film become commercial hit though it has got average talk. Every producer/director/hero seems to know these simple economics, but most of them are forgetting when it comes to making their own films. |

normal people(which includes me) consider a movie hit if it is good and flop if it is bad.
not a hit if it collects 30 crores or not a flop if distributors loss on it. |
