Subash ghai - a song is sung by one person and then a big group joins it
ram lakhan - tera naam liya
saudagar - ilu ilu
karma - dil diya hai jaan bhi denge (dilip and nutan)
yash chopra - showing the heroine in a white dress. lamhe, chandi, dil to pagal hai.
KV - closeups and excessive shouting of characters.
RGV - camera angles
KRR - BODDU, poolu, pallu (i mean fruits), too much overaction by comedians

Did anyone notice the songs in Vamsi's films??
Irrespective of the music director the songs all tend to be similar, the vocals tend to dominate the music. The male/female voice sings first then female/male voice follows with a contrasting speed???

Vamsi movies always tends to have a criminal or violent climax at the end, i mean whatever the movie is comedy, romance, there will be a villain in the movie and it tends to be violent atleast for the climax part.

KV (krishna vamsi) starts his movie with a big dramatic scene for most of the movies.
emotional graph will be very high in initial scenes and then will settle into normal story telling for few more reels.
Balachendar is a pessimist and so his climaxes will always be with negative attitude.
SV krishna reddy makes a dramatic scene more melodramtic with his extensive poignant music, so if u hear a veeena playing too sadly then it must be from SV's movie.
KV has this facination with extreme closeups of human faces, he likes to shows quite often in his movies.
VV has this fascination of making larger than life of a scene, he wants to thrill a audience by showing it in a way no one ever has shown.
This larger than life is more prominent in Shankar, he always thinks of a way to titilate audience with never before shown scenes.

exactly..i once had a thought of opening a thread titled directors and their idiosyncrasies
some more:
Subhash ghai: always had a theme song/tune in his films which is played umpteen number of times..like hero,karma,saudaagar, meri jung, khalnayak etc..
Yash chopra: obsession with the locales of switzerland..
Indra kumar..never forget to shoot a song/scene under their auspicious tree in OOTY.
Balachander:a hutke se song in his films like..randi randi from rudraveena, mere jeevan saathi from ek duje ke liye, kanne pillavani from aakali rajyam..
Vamsi: His picturisation of songs with short similar edits, fast moving frames in typical IR/VAMSI combo tunes..

K Raghavendra Rao's song picturization using fruits and heroine's bellybutton
Varma has a style of rotating the camera may be coz he watches too many english films but still it is stylish. He also tends to zoom camera at objects that are not of interest in a scene thus making the scene look interesting
Of late Guna Sekhar seems to be carried away a little too much with the matrix fight sequences.
