elagoo ikkada bomma teavtledani telisindi ninna ....so dvd techi chooosa ippude....1st half tarvata db lo vunte bale vundi ane vanni but after seein the second half i felt this movie is faar below the mani's standards......even the iruvar movie though i hated but seein thro the directors point of view i some what liked that movie...but this one even if we see thro the brains of suhasini hated it...anniti kanna cinema lo kampu lepindi ante aaa tokka lo camera angles....same ones as in sakhi with a little advancement in tech stuff...but okka angle miss cheesadu...."De**e" tappudu abhishek bachan baniyan ki oka camera pettivunte kevvu manedi camera angle and movement...there are so many good points but after seein the complete movie i am so damned up to remember them....jeevi gaadu qt to polchadu...but i feel that mani in this movie is in no way comparable to qt....any way i expected a lot from mani's movie but i felt this was not at all his product. some scenes especially the one where abhishek kills his bro n fnd were totally screwed up.....the same kinda sitn in ramu'S movie lo chooste aa impact oka 10 mins varaku vuntundi.
this is strongly my opinion....enta dvd lo choosina ekkaledu manaki...any way hope he comes with a better one next time. |

eto MPS thammi .. naakem ekkaledu cinema. second half kampu D**adu. too much character building and very little prgress on story. in every Mani movie, one normally gets to see something new, something we havent seen till date. ee cinemalo emi ledu. Only positive for me was Surya, superb performance - I am very impressed, and ARR's Background score. twas pretty good. ekkado pedha review rasanu, ethukuthua kaani cinema mathram anukunnantha ledu.

I watched it Yesterday in Hindi. I went with two of my other friend. I liked it very much. I like the story naration. Of course he gave little bit of importance to Love of of individual characters, but it was different for the Indian screen. Also the way movie was divided into three parts is experimental for Indian cinema. Only Vivek's role looked like not established properly. Anyway I enjoyed the movie and would recomend it to anyone.

ammayya inka nayam $10 Dxxxxbetti theater ki poledu. $1 lo vhs (dvd print) techhukunte chalu annamaata.
There is no grudge for northies on Mani (atleast the audience). remember Roja (dubbed) was big hit in north. Mani is not popular or not a darling of Masses because his movies always require the audience (read as masses and regular moie goers) should have some kind of thinking while watching the movie.
bottom line when i go to a movie i dont use my brain or i dont want to use my brain. Just watch the movie with plain heart leaving aside logics and brains.
So u find SRK movies more entertaining and Mani movies boring.
THe last movie i liked that of mani's is sorry cant recollect..

shah rukh khan gaadu antha scene ledu. vaadi kanna manchi acting (in the real sense) chese vaallu chaala mandi vunnaru.
best actor is aamir khan.
but shah rukh gaadu dynamic and spontaneous by nature. that is why people like him. not because he is a good actor. he doesnt have good acting skills thats why after 3-4 movies his style tends to be monotonous ...
he is not versatile like aamir, (kamal hassan in south )who can do any kind of role becuase he knows acting very well and can portay any character with ease.

SRK had good emotions in baazigar and darr (my fav role) however after that he has been very monotonous in his acting and expressions. i did not see any difference between his emotions between ddlj and dil to pagal hai and kuch kuch hota hai whereas in reality the roles and characterizations are totally different. that is where he is different from aamir khan whom many rate as a better actor in bollywood. For that matter, ajay devgan too has shown a lot of variety of performances in his recent movies.
mana telugu lo kooda aa variety evariki ledu mama...mahesh is trying towards that however his subject selection is bad.
anduke tamil industry lo vunna talent manaki ledu ani ante manam emi cheyalem.

mama yash chopra prathi okka cinemalo same point unna prathi okati different relatioships meedha untayi mama. be it silsila, lamhe, chandini, darr, dtph,etc. all r movies on different relationships mama. he is basically a human relations guy. so his movies r like that. why blame him if he is not handling other subjects? alage SRK, mama nuvvu srk versatality ni sankisthe inkemi cheppanu mama? edo ee madhya konni soft movies vasthe matram, antha easyga teesi paresthe ela mama?
and mani rathnam goppode mama. most of the ppl accept that. may be nuvvu mani ante nachani vaallathone ekkuva interact chesavemo? every actor, actress in hindi would say that they would do anything to get a role in mani's film. thats a good enough statement of who is the best.
P.S. i dont like mani rathnam movies that much becos of his mixing of commercial elements like unnecessary songs, vulgarity, and lack of clarity in dialouges.

look at movies from yash chopra. 9 out of 10 movies lo heroine gets engaged to one guy and then marries another...his stories are love and marriage related.
mani has done almost every kinda movie BUT i have seen that many northies dont accept him as the GREATEST DIRECTOR because of the fact that he is from south.
coming to SRK, he is past his prime as far as acting is concerned.raju ban gaya gentleman lo comedy timing ki main hoon na lo comedy timing ki no change.
main hoon na kante ee movie 1000 times better. but look at the reviews they have given. bloddy hypocrites.
coming to surya, he is an extremely talented actor. |

dont think of any other director who could have handled this subject and brought out such performances from the cast.

I watched Yuva (hindi) yesterday. After watching this movie, I realized why Mani Ratnam is regarded as one of the finest story tellers of India.
Story begins:
opening scene
Abhishek (Lallan) is chasing Ajay (Michael) on the howrah bridge (unknown to Michael). He is talking abt his personal life to his side-kick who does not understand what is being talked about (neither do we). Vivek (Arjun) is proposing to Kareena on another side of the bridge. Lallan shoots Michael and the latter falls into the river.The scene ends with a close-up on Lallan's face.
end of opening scene
Begin Abhishek's flashback He is a goon who offers his services to Om puri through his brother. His wife (Rani mukherjee) tries to change him without vain.Om puri, a local politician, utilizes his services to get rid of Michael, a student leader (Ajay Devgan) who is trying to oppose him in elections. Abhishek's flashback ends when he fires bullets into Ajay(opening scene repeat). This sequence ends with a close-up of Ajay's face.
End of Abhishek's flashback
Begin flashback of Ajay
Michael (Ajay Devgan) is a matured youngman who wants to bring a change in the society. His love interest is Esha Deol. He turns down american scholarship for the sake a better tomorrow of the society...He drops his girl friend in college and gives lift to Vivek, who is running after Kareena. His flashback ends when he gets shot by Abhishek (repeat of opening scene). This scene ends with a close-up of Vivek's face.
end of Ajay's flashback
Begin flashback of Vivek Vivek is son of an IAS officer who dreams to land in America. He meets Kareena at a local discotheque and be- friends here. Slowly he falls in love with her. She is engaged to a kanpur guy and he gets his visa. Fate brings them to the howrah bridge where Abhishek shoots Ajay (repeat of opening scene)
End flashback of Vivek
Vivek rescues Ajay and gets him into a hospital. He realizes what Ajay is doing for the society and gives him the support. Meanwhile, Kareena comes back breaking her engagement with her fiance. RAni drops her kid to bring a change in Abhishek but fails to do so. Abhishek kidnaps Vivek and other friends of Ajay. The rest of the story is how the good prevails over evil.
The movie ends with Ajay and Vivek winning the elections and entering the assembly as YUVA (the leaders of tomorrow)...
Performances were great by the leading men. The way the story has been told is very convincing. No melodrama, No un-wanted drama. Its a realistic movie which shows emotions of 3 young men from three different sections of life.
He has convincingly told a realistic problem with commercial touch. He is one of the rare directors who has done that. The screen-play and characterization is G-R-E-A-T.
MUST WATCH FOR EVERYONE
PS : Dont ever believe what guys like Taran Adarsh have written. They will only like half baked talents like Karan Johar and SRK for reasons best known to them. For these guys too much of emotion and unrealism is good but when someone talks abt the existing social problems with a good commercial edge like Mani and Ramgopal Varma it sounds bad...(Probably its because that we are from South)..Movies by directors who give the same climax for ages (heroine getting engaged to one and marrying someone else) like Yash Chopra are rated higher than Mani's, while in reality in our era MANI RATNAM is bar none the GREATEST director.
I cant wait to see performances from Superstar Surya and Madhavan in the tamil movie. |
