I recently watched the DVD of Capturing The Friedmans, which was produced by the HBO. HBO has a penchant for making movies on some of the grotesque issues that swept the Nation(U.S.) in the recent past and this movie continues in that lineage!
Although unpopular now, "sex rings", were very rampant in the U.S. till recently. People that operated these rings were prototypical perverts who not only abused the children sexually but also sodomized them.
This movie shows how a famous ring, run by the family of Friedmans in the Greyneck village of New York State was busted! Arnie Friedman, the head of this ring, was a model teacher who used to teach Computer and piano to all the teachers before he lost sanity to his sleazy instincts! The worst part is young son Jesse Friedman joining him in the operation that outraged the entire community! Some of the incidents described by the abused were so gory that it took me three days to finish the entire DVD!
