Everyone has the right to comment on Chiru. Anthendhuku nene chepta Chiru also has movies with OA. But people like it.
Same thing with NTR too. NTR OA Mjr. chkanth is the height.

Her name is Subhashini and she is a hand picked stage actor. RaviBabu spke high of her in one of his interviews and explained how he could approach her . I was really suprised that he was non-conventional in choosing traditional actors evrn for a samll role in a low budget film, and to top that his debut film.

IBM - I wanted to get into the theatrical aspect but did not since ppl misunderstand that for OA a lot of times. this is not to say that NTR never did OA , he did that mostly to contrast a character and at times, he prolly got carried away. this started long back actually but he was largely restrained - and got out of hand in those 80s, late 70s movies.

I know there are ardent fans for SS. I was fan of SS when I was pretty young like 7yrs.
SS comes in to NTR/ CHIRU category. SS has HUGE fan following. SS has some really good fans who can make things happen.
Dont even mention about NBk. He sucks big time dude. NBK only good thing he did in his life he is son of NTR.
In my opinion
NTR/SS/CHIRU are megastars in their own time. They were ICONs of tollywood in their generations.

Sachin, Amitabh are Gods. Temple built for Amitabh should suffice this argument and statements like in India "First there is Sachin and then there is God" should withhold my statement.
Coming down to AP, for some NTR is God and for a few others Chiru is God. Maybe not in the same magnitude but for some others SS is God.
We have seen a fellow DB member slitting his wrist for Chiru when a movie of his failed, we have seen a fan ready for self-immolation when NBK was in trouble, I have heard of SS fans who were ready to kill somebody for SS.
Have you forgotten the recent Number1 magazine episode?
There are several such incidents to quote. This is nothing but fanatism which is unfortunately increasing day by day.

OA ni anta negative ga yenduku teeskuntunaaru. It is an acting genre in itself and mostly actors from the old school who had their roots in theatre are often accused of OA. I wouldnt call it OA but 'theatrical' acting or prolly 'over stylised' acting. take prithviraj kapoor for instance...considered one of the legends of the indian screen..mughal e aazam chooste u can clearly perceive the difference betwen prk and dks styles. prk had this exaggerated body language..the twirling of the eyebrow, raising the head at angles that people normally wouldnt do in real life, shaking his body and head into a shiver to depict anger,etc...i would attribute all this to the old 'theatre school' that he had his roots. Rememeber ntr too had his roots in theatre.. but the reason it works so brilliantly for ntr is because his films belonged to that genre..mostly mythology or the social dramas of yore....it wouldnt work in a satya or a company..
and of course people watched his films for NTR and nothing else...his mythologicals created a powerful halo and the power extended to even his non-mythologicals....
spcicy, ntr is a cult..a cult is a faith..a religion and u know what happens when u criticise faith/religion..:-)

actually ive heard it mentioned before that there were some nuances of john wayne in NTR...personally I didnt notice them...and John wayne became famous for his western performances but he did a lot of other famous charecters as well.
