Edwards was concrete on his opinions ...
And has clear views and understanding of the Domestic problems.
He used "Kerry and I .." most of the times ...

how many of you who watched didnt get that cheney was full of shit, that strikes anyone watching it, edwards doesnt have the exp no doubt, but he did come of as a honest contender with conviction about his beliefs.

could catch a rerun for sometime late last night. cheney walked all over him man. a joe liebermann would have been a better match for cheney. edwards was charming etc. but was also bumbling a lot. cheney ( just like bush ) was avoiding all key issues, not answering questions directly whenever uncomfy. and just like kerry, edwards did not go after those gaffes. sometimes I wonder do they forget in the heat of the moment or some unwritten rule that you give your opponent some wriggle room ? in both the debates I thought there were times when dems could have been on the offensive but they did not. |

Cheney gave his usual BS by talking wrong numbers
but Edwards was no match to Cheney in diplomacy talking, Every sentence he said John Kerry will do this or that.
Cheney gave facts which Edwards didnt counter
haliburton issue was never argued properly but
side tracked most of the time.
I think its tie, Edwards lacked experience and Cheney gave lot of BS with facts

It was a draw.
Cheney was more realistic in his issues (like Bush) and the debate clearly showed his command over the foreign policies. Edwards on the other hand cleverly concealed his inexperience on foreign issues and attacked Cheney on Hulliburton. I think US needs Cheney, not Edwards (a good lawyer). |
