*Job Description
Designs, tests, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms an computing environments. Participates in the development of data architectures and database management policies and standards. Provides in-depth consulting services in the identification and resolution of database issues. Participates in the planning, design, and usage of data resources. May develop detailed data models and entity relationship diagrams.
*Minimum Qualifications
4 years degree in Computer Science or MIS with 5 - 7 years of database related experience. Excellent knowledge and/or experience in Oracle database environment. Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL. Ability to give precise direction and work with systems administrators and Database Administrators for remote database operations related issues. Knowledgeable in application to database tier connectivity on multiple application servers. Strong background in UNIX and/or Linux environments with experience in supporting tools (awk, syncsort, direct connect, shell scripting and etc). Ability to troubleshoot with analytical skills. Be able to support 7/24 on as needed basis. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge and/or understanding in Finance, Accounting and/or Treasury function.
Background and/or knowledge as an Oracle DBA function.
Background and/or knowledge in Oracle, Peoplesoft and/or Wall Street systems application package.

Job Description
Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. May develop systems test plan components and test scripts. May act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. May provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff. This position is often required to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and establish and communicate priorities based on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
4 years degree plus previous technical Project Management and/or Business Systems Consultant experience. Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with business partners and software application developers is required. Self sufficient management of complex project tasks with attention to detail and the ability to effectively document system requirements is crucial. Full knowledge of the MS Office Suite, project forecasting, project tracking, and similar applications is a core requirement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
