Bhupathi,

If you are on H1, you have to get a salary(W2) from the company which sponsered your H1. so, even though you can tweak, it wont be of much help to H1s.

>>1099 lo w2 kante taxes enta percent ekkuva pay cheyali?

Basic gaa 1099 chesthey lot of tax benefits etc vasthaayi compared to W2.

Say ur bill rate is $50 instead of taking 50 per hour on W2 if u go 1099 route he may give upto 53 per hour.

Now u can pay urself around 25 per hour as salary.

Rest u can give ur self Health Insurance coverage around 9000 per year, conveyance around 10K, Auditor fees - 600, cell phone/internet/office phone around 2000 per year. Add misc expenses for printer paper, stationaery etc around 1000. u pay around 1500 for liability insurance

WIth an S corporation income from business after all these expense will be added to ur income. Basically u will save some amount on Social security taxes and balance on the expenses shown

1099 lo taxes thakkuva kabatti people take additional trouble

>>w2 nundi 1099 ki vellalante company register cheyyala?

nope, you can use your name as business and get 1099 issued to you. you dont have to have a company, but your entire property would be liable to your business. say if your company sues you for some reason, your house etc also would be sold to pay for the dues. If you register a company, then it may not be the case. what ever the company is worth would be liable.

with W2 you just pay you income taxes
i.e Federal, State, local texes (if any), Employye part os Social and Medicare tax (7.65%)

With 1099
You need to pay Employer part of Social security tax (7.65%). You may also need to pay unemployment tax

With Corparation:
Apart from the above you are responsible for your own liability insurance.
You may need to pay workers compensation
