idi problem ni invite chesinatlu vundi.
one example: one lady going on visitor visa told you are going on leave from current job for 6months ani adigiteh.. her answer is.. i can go upto 2 years no problem and i have enuf leave annadi. sare aitey nuvvu akkada settle avutaavu.. nenu neeku ivvanu visa.. dobbey ani cheppindi.. she is a manager kinda role and she was emabarassed for that answer.
similarly.. lcuk baagunte em kaadu...worst case lo. eediki mandi.. neeeku US enduku.. UK ki dobbey.. ani thought vaste.. thank you. ani cheppi pamputaadu. |

For those who have good track record of long service with single employer and few foriegn trips on their passport, single ki... they will not trouble you much, they should give it to you. So you can try H1 option if this has more prospects. |

i dont think we can apply for Visa from different country until we are a resident for minimum period of time or have a valid residence address with us to prove u staying there.
The reason is in S'pore many indians are attending/attended got into US and they waited for the period to become resident. Since Singapore the things will be easier than in India for those having problems with experience and Education.

mama.. India lo H1 interview appudu enquiry antu questions vundavu. either you get stamped and or rejected, they do it outright and dont delay your processsing. So I suggest you to appear for interview.
Coming to Delhi consulate, they will not bother you much like in Chennai where consulate employees are mastered in playing with IT souls. So your interview should go smooth IMHO. My friend went and for him they did not even open the file.. checked the application and stamped the visa. His case is L1.. but they wont bug much as far as I concerned.

Here are your options.
1. If they ask for documents which you don't have then tell them that you need your passport back. Then forget about going to US
2. Apply within UK itself. It might take upto 3 weeks.
3. If you are coming to USA via desi company , make sure that you get the company tax papers from them for the last 3 years.(if 3 years is too much try getting atleast the latest year tax papers)
4. Don't show that you are desperate to go to USA. Act as if it is just an add on option to you as you already have Job in UK.(i.e) if they tell you that they wanna inquire and get back to you , ask them how long it would take and if that period exceeds more than 3/5 days you simply withdraw your application, telling that you are not interested waiting that long. |

mamalu,
got a h1b visa appntment on sep 16 in delhi
but flying to UK this monthend.
during the interview, if i get any query on my h1 like asking to get more documents (read 221 g, background checks of my US employer etc.)
r they going to retain my passport till i submit the docs asked by them???
murthy forms lo check chesanu, konthamandi passport unchukunnaru anta..till the whole process.
then, i am in trouble, i cant risk the current job and UK trip for the sake of h1.
so it is possible to request consulate people to return my passport back, so that i can appear for fresh interview sometime later.
my option are
1. musukoni UK ki povatam
2. incase delay ayyi and passport unchukunte...vallani request chesi passport thechukovatam.
